Dusk 'til Dawn
I used to write…When memories fade,
I’ll remember the smiles.
When all the leaves have fallen,
I’ll try not to cry
When the birds stop singing,
I’ll make love with silence
When the rain won’t stop pouring,
I’ll embrace it passion
When total darkness invades my world,
I shall not cringe…
The darkness will be like silk,
Caressing my nakedness;
My vulnerability,
Then, I’ll surrender.
I shall not fight,
I shall not pull away;
I shall not turn my back,
I shall not give up…
I shall not give in.
But…
When all is well again,
When the rainbows appear on the horizon once more;
When the sun begins to shine again,
When silence would be broken…
and melodies would fill the air again,
Only then would I melt..
For I can not live in pure comfort alone.
